For 16 years, Surfabilly Freakout was your radio home for surf, garage, psychobilly, rockabilly, spaghetti western and all of the raucous retro-revival music that you love! The show started in 2006 on WPGU 107.1FM in Champaign, IL and then moved to WEFT 90.1FM (also in Champaign) in 2014.
The show included a large cast of characters (a.k.a. "The Freakout Crew") over the years and hosted a number of bands and performers in-studio and at area venues. The crew also MC'd, DJ'd and booked entertainment for events in Chicago, Columbus, Dayton, and upstate New York. Surfabilly Freakout took a break from its weekly radio broadcast in May of 2022 and is currently plotting its next confounding adventure!
